EM Test Solutions, was founded in Jan 2006 by Mr Uwe Flor & Mr Brendon Lim as the EMC test & measuring products distributor & solution provider. Our focus in the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test solution is to provide specialized and competent solution to our customers. Since 2006, we serves customers in the ASEAN region which covers countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam & Philippines. Backed by the success and vast experience of our partners in Europe, we believe that the highest quality of solutions & services could be provided in order to remain as a competent solution provider in the EMC field as well as other test & measuring fields.

The ESD phenomenon in EMC is described in IEC61000-4-2 test Standard that specifies the testing method and immunity requirements in order to determine the performance of the electrical & electronics devices when subjected to the ESD.

New Calibration Scope Coming Soon

We have recently invested to extend our calibration laboratory scope to include RF equipment calibration. We are currently doing the setting up and next step is to get the new RF Lab to be accredited.

The new RF Lab will cover the calibration for;

CALIBRATION

ISO17025:2017

Our calibration laboratory was established in year 2009 as part of our improvement plan to further strengthen our support to customers in the South East Asia region. Our objective is to provide shorter turnaround time and savings from transportation costs which proves to be an issue that needs to be addressed based on feedback from our customer. We started the calibration laboratory activity offering traceable manufacturer's calibration for some of the conducted immunity test generators covering EFT/ Burst, Surge, Power Fail & Automotive Transients. Over the years we extended our scope to cover calibration of more standards test requirements. In 2011, we decided to further improve and work to obtain 3rd party quality recognition by getting our calibration laboratory accredited according to the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. The Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia (SAMM) was chosen to accredit our laboratory. SAMM is recognized worldwide thanks to the ILAC-MRA agreement. After 3-years of hard-work and perseverance, we were finally accredited on the 11th February 2014 by Department of Standards Malaysia under their SAMM accreditation scheme. Our accredited laboratory is now ready to perform calibrations for all manufacturer's of conducted immunity test generators and the following is the scope that we covers;

BACKGROUND

The accreditation in accordance with SAMM is equivalent to other national accreditations eg. UKAS, DAKKS, SCS, A2LA & etc. International agreement ensures the mutual recognition and cross-acceptance between accreditation body in various countries.

ILAC - International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - is the international laboratory accreditation cooperation for laboratories and inspection institutes, which was established over 30 years ago for the purpose of promoting international trade by means of reducing technical trade barriers.

MRA stands for Mutual Recognition Agreement. The reason here was to introduce a legally binding agreement between authorities in various countries.

The ILAC-MRA agreement between numerous national accreditation institute ensures the mutual international recognition of accreditations around the world.
